¯ Alyssa Loveland, 21, of Sheridan, was charged Monday with petit larceny.
¯ James Strychalski, 78, of Dunkirk, was charged Thursday with backing unsafely and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and property damage.
¯ Omar Contreras, 37, of Dunkirk, was charged Thursday with third-degree burglary, petit larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief and possession of burglar’s tools.
¯ James C. Holtz, 64, of Dunkirk, was charged Tuesday, Jan. 2 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and open container in a motor vehicle.

PERSIA — Matthew Hoak, 41, of Hamburg, entered a plea of guilty to attempted burglary in the third degree, a class C felony. The incident occurred on or about July 25, 2017, in the town of Persia, when the defendant attempted to knowingly enter or remain unlawfully in a building with the intent to commit a crime therein. Sentencing is scheduled for April 9.
