Cassadaga Job Corps announces information sessions, tours
Cassadaga Job Corps Academy will host tours and information sessions for interested applicants and their families this Thursday, Jan. 11. They will start at 8:30 a.m. and again at 10 a.m.
Cassadaga Job Corps Academy offers no-cost career training in the healthcare, construction, and security industries as well as classes to prepare to take the TASC or obtain a high school diploma. Career training programs include carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, Certified Nurse Assistant and security.
In addition, the Academy also offers a Job Corps Advanced Training program for LPN, in partnership with BOCES. In order to enroll in Job Corps, applicants must be 16-24 years old and meet income and other guidelines, as well as demonstrate readiness to embark on a rigorous and demanding training program.
Job Corps will provide the courses described above, as well as a comprehensive career preparation curriculum to ensure graduates are ready to enter the labor market. Services for graduates include job placement assistance and transition money.
