New You Health and Wellness Expo at DHS Jan. 20

On Saturday, Jan. 20, Dunkirk High School will be the home of the first ever New You Health and Wellness Expo. Doors open at noon and the expo runs until 4 p.m.

There is no price of admission, but be sure to bring some cash as there will be many raffles including a Chinese Auction throughout the day to benefit the Dunkirk High School wrestling team. There will also be healthy lunch packages catered by Super Duper Catering available for $10 in the cafeteria. Also, as a bonus, anyone who comes to the event will receive one raffle ticket to win a wellness basket which includes a new FitBit Alta. This basket is valued at more than $200. Another bonus, the first 50 people through the door will receive a free special treat.

Vendors on hand will include: Tastefully Simple, Norwex, Younique, doTerra Essential Oils, Herbs for LIfe, Lipsense, Rose and Mags Country Mile, Plexus, Massage therapy, Radiantly You, Yoga Underground, NuSkin, Rodan and Fields, House on the Hill Bath Therapies and many more local vendors and community agencies. Each vendor will be donating a basket to be raffled during the event.

Families are encouraged to attend the event together as there will be a variety of group fitness demonstrations for the adults and activities for the kids. The Dunkirk High School National Honor Society will be on hand to run activities for kids in the auxiliary gym. This will also be a drop off for parents who are participating in group fitness demonstrations. Each parent who requires childcare will be given a ticket to present at the kids wellness table for children ages 3 and up. There will be many demonstrations for the community to participate in from learning how to properly check blood pressure and calculate body mass index (BMI).
