North Collins Village Police activity for January
North Collins Village Police Department had police officers on duty for 127 hours in the month of January. Officers responded to 54 various requests including: four court details, two traffic arrests, two assists to emergency medical services, a suspicious vehicle, one assist person, one alarm, a funeral detail and one community policing detail.
These requests were also done alongside the regular school, business, public property and vacant property checks during January.
The department also issued 32 traffic tickets. The 15 speeding tickets ranged from 47 miles per hour to 54 mph in a 35 mph zone. The average speed was 49.6 mph. Eight tickets were issued for cell phone violations, two were for aggravated unlicensed operation, one was unlicensed operation, one for passing in a no-passing zone, one ticket for a stop sign violation, one ticket for a seat belt violation, one ticket for insufficient tail lamps, one ticket for no distinctive rear license plate and one ticket for insufficient license plate light.
