City man faces slew of charges including larceny, forgery

Michael D. Bobik, 28, of Dunkirk, was charged Thursday following a report of a larceny at a Bennett Road address in the town of Dunkirk.

Upon investigation, it was determined that Bobik had stolen bank checks which did not belong to him. Bobik then forged a signature on the stolen bank checks and cashed the checks for a total of $2,000.

Bobik was located Thursday and placed under arrest. He was transported to Dunkirk Town Court and arraigned on charges of second-degree forgery, second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, fourth-degree grand larceny and petit larceny. Bobik was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $5,000 cash or $10,000 property bail.
