The Dunkirk Fire Department was called to Dunkirk City Hall Monday afternoon to assist National Fuel with a reported gas leak.

Mayor Willie Rosas said an issue with one of the gas valves was discovered shortly before 2:30 p.m. All personnel were evacuated from city hall for approximately 30 minutes while a repair was made. Dunkirk Police closed the roads around city hall during the evacuation.

Rosas thanked police and fire personnel for their assistance.
