Labyrinthine Ways Peace Park opens Saturday

Labyrinthine Ways Peace Park is celebrating its 18th season by adding 1,000 air purifiers. Come and join them between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 at 3129 Franklin Ave., Dunkirk in the parking lot. Bring a tree planting shovel (if possible). Pizza lunch at noon (for volunteers). Each “Nature Steward” will receive a free tree. Need more info? Call Pete Miller at 467-6030.

Due to the cold weather, the croci have croaked. The Labrrador Violets did not bloom for the first time in 20 years! They will bloom in early May and fill the Pete Seeger Picnic area. Daffodils and narcissi will be in profusion soon. The trails are wet but trekable. The labyrinth is tolerable. Enjoy a spring hike. Bring the kids.
