GOWANDA — Trustees Aaron Markham and Wanda Koch swore in after they were re-elected for the village board in the March elections.

Gowanda Village Mayor David Smith gave complements to the returning members of his board.

“Trustee Koch has served as our GARC (Gowanda Area Redevelopment Corporation) liaison, our UDAG (Urban Development Action Grant) liaison and our liaison to the police force as well,” Smith said. “She does a lot more than that for our village board. She is first class in every way, congratulations again, Ms. Koch.”

Markham swore in after with clerk Danielle Wagner giving the Oath of Office.

“Aaron Markham also serves as our one of our recreation liaisons and beautification liaison,” Smith said. “… He also recently provided police training for us. He made the connections to bring the group in to train our police a couple of Saturdays ago and he does a lot more than that. Thank you trustee Markham.”
