Irving woman charged in teen’s death at concert

DARIEN — An Irving woman has been charged in a fatal hit-and-run accident involving a teenager that occurred early Saturday morning after the Jason Aldean concert at Darien Lake.

Genesee County sheriff’s deputies report Jennifer L. Serrano, 48, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, both felonies. The arrest occurred Sunday afternoon after Serrano’s vehicle was seized during a search warrant in Amherst, according to the Batavia Daily News.

Deputies said 18-year-old Connor Lynskey and friends were walking along Sumner Road after the show, heading for a campground.

The friends last saw Lynskey running ahead to catch up with another pal. They called police when he didn’t appear at the campsite.

Authorities later found Lynskey in a ditch along Sumner Road. The teen from Hinckley, in central New York near Utica, was pronounced dead at the scene.
