Alzheimer’s Association offering free programs and services
The Alzheimer’s Association Western New York Chapter is planning a number of education programs across Chautauqua County in September. These programs are free and open to the public.
Today, Sept. 6, Brookdale Lakewood at 220 Southwestern Drive in Lakewood will host Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body at 2 p.m. Dementia experts from the WNY Chapter office will discuss the latest research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, and cognitive activity.

This workshop is for anyone who would like to know more about what legal and financial issues to consider when faced with the challenge of dementia and how to put plans in place.
Additionally, the Chapter trains facilitators to lead monthly caregiver support groups in six locations across the county which allow caregivers to connect with others facing similar challenges and hear advice for overcoming them.
