Jamestown man charged after car crashes into creek
STOCKTON — A 28-year-old Jamestown man has been charged after a traffic accident in which his car went into a creek near Route 380 Thursday morning.
Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a well being check of a male walking along South Stockton-Cassadaga Road around 5:45 a.m. During the investigation the male identified as Brandon M. Hardy stated he was involved in a single-vehicle auto accident. Deputies were able to locate the accident scene on South Stockton-Cassadaga Road near Route 380.
It was determined that Brandon M. Hardy was traveling north on South Stockton-Cassadaga Road and drove off the east side of the road.
Hardy’s vehicle traveled through some thick brush, through a utility pole, then went airborne before landing in Cassadaga Creek.Stockton EMS transported Hardy to a local hospital for evaluation.
Hardy was issued traffic tickets for moved from lane unsafely, speed not reasonable, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operator. Hardy is to be in Town Court on a later date.
