Ashville man charged with assault
NORTH HARMONY — On Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office took a report of an alleged assault that had taken place on Friday, Oct. 5 in the state lands of North Harmony. According to the Sheriff’s investigation, Michael C. Shreve, 22, of Ashville physically attacked another person and prevented that person from leaving the area.
Shreve was charged with third-degree assault, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and criminal obstruction of breathing. He was arraigned in the town of Sherman on behalf of the town of North Harmony Justice, who was not available. Shreve was remanded to the county jail in lieu of bail.
