Sherman man charged with unauthorized use of motor vehicle
SHERMAN — A Sherman man stole a motor vehicle Monday night and is now facing charges.
At about 8:44 p.m., Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Bailey Hill Road in the town of Sherman. After an investigation, it was learned that Robert M. Fraley, 32, of Sherman had taken a vehicle without the permission of the owner. A short time later, Fraley was located and taken into custody. Fraley was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail on $500 per-arraignment bail.
Fraley will answer to his charge in Sherman Town Court at a later date. The vehicle was subsequently recovered and returned to its owner.
