Greystone Nature Preserve Invites the Community to Giving Tuesday

Greystone Nature Preserve is excited to announce its participation in this year’s Giving Tuesday, an international day of giving where community members are invited to give back to their local nonprofits. Every dollar that a community member gives will put Greystone one step closer to being able to provide experiential learning about nature year-round through the expansion of a low-impact cabin on their land.

Giving Tuesday, held on Nov. 27, is a 24-hour day of giving, and donations can be made on Greystone Nature Preserve’s Facebook page, or in-person at Greystone’s Giving Day Celebration. This celebration will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Tim Hortons on the campus of the State University of Fredonia at New York. It will include presentations by the founders of Greystone, Bill Moran and Diane Clark, along with raffles and performances by Fredonia clubs.

Greystone invites community members to skip the lines on Black Friday and save for donations on Giving Tuesday, but while monetary contributions are always appreciated, they aren’t the only ways to give back. Greystone also invites fellow community members to follow its Facebook page and share its Giving Tuesday posts. Diane and Bill also hope the community will attend Greystone’s Giving Tuesday Celebration to show support for experiential learning in nature.

Greystone Nature Preserve is a not for profit organization that welcomes community members of all ages and ability levels to experience their innate connection with nature. Along with experiential learning, Greystone preserves 72 acres of woods and meadows and houses a sanctuary for birds, bats, and butterflies. If interested in visiting Greystone, or have any questions, call 679-6603.
