Sinclairville Library ready for holiday season

Submitted Photo Pictured are long time library volunteers who put together the book tree each year. They are, from left, Cathy Obert, Ainsley Smith and Karyn Okerlund.

The Sinclairville Free Library invites everyone to visit the library this holiday season and admire its Christmas tree constructed with books and its holiday teddy bear display by Jean Abbey. Guests may also enjoy holiday crafts at the library before Santa’s arrival in Sinclairville on Saturday from 4 to 5 p.m. (children under 8 must be accompanied by a caregiver).

Books by local authors make great gifts, and the library has a variety of copies available for sale. One may also want to buy tickets for the opportunity drawing to be held on Dec. 17 with a chance to win a basket including a Holly Hobbie quilted blanket and two small Madame Alexander dolls. Tickets are a bargain at $1 each or three for $2. The library will be closed on the following dates in observance of the holiday season: Dec. 24, Dec. 26 and Dec. 31.
