Cassadaga man charged in domestic incident
SINCLAIRVILLE — A Cassadaga man is facing a number of charges after a domestic disturbance at a Sinclairville residence on Thursday.
State Police at Jamestown responded to the incident and after an investigation revealed that during an argument, Michael Austin, 38, broke a cell phone and interrupted the victim’s breathing process by placing her in a headlock. While being searched after being placed under arrest, the troopers located methamphetamine and a Subutex pill on Austin.
He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Austin was processed at State Police in Jamestown barracks and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail, pending arraignment.
