Brant woman charged in December collision

A 25-year-old Brant resident was charged on Monday in connection with a December collision on Route 438 on Seneca Nation of Indians’ territory that injured five people.

Erie County Sheriff Timothy B. Howard announced the arrest of Kalah Schultz following the investigation by the Crash Investigation Unit. On Dec. 10, deputies responded to the scene of a crash. Five were taken the Erie County Medical Center, and the scene was turned over to the Crash Investigation Unit.

Following the unit’s investigation and the results of a court-ordered blood test, deputies arrested Schultz and charged her with a felony count of aggravated vehicular assault. Schultz was sent to the Erie County Holding Center pending her arraignment.

The blood test revealed Schultz was impaired at the time of the crash.
