The Patterson Library will present “Isaiah Rashad II, Staying Focused” author, and sculptor on April 25 at 6 p.m.

In Rashad’s Christian non-fiction book, he discusses the “basics of staying focused in a world of confusion, misconceptions, and doubts following the principles taught by Jesus which still apply to us all today.”

“After many life experiences including enduring homelessness, racism, abandonment, law enforcement, failed relationships and secular dissatisfaction, Isaiah began the study of existentialism; writing and speaking to all who would listen. In 2014 Isaiah was baptized at the Carmelite Monastery in Buffalo, New York; soon after studying at Crown College, earning an Associates in Christian Counseling, Bachelor’s in Christian Ministry and Bachelor’s in Global and Cultural Studies and is currently a Graduate student in Global Leadership. Rashad is also a year 2020 candidate for the Doctorate of Strategic Leadership at Regent University. Rashad writes and speaks the language of life from the words and actions of his own experiences and the lessons and direction of God.”
