Two nabbed in Mayville for Molly

MAYVILLE — Police arrested two Erie, Pa., men Wednesday after reportedly finding them unresponsive in a parked vehicle with Molly, narcotics-related paraphernalia and money.

Molly is a drug that is powder of a crystal form of a methamphetamine. It also is made up of a toxic mix of lab-created chemicals.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force responded to a call around 8:15 a.m. at a parking lot at 14 N. Erie St. in the village of Mayville.

Once on scene, authorities found Zachary A. Griffin, 27, in the driver seat of the vehicle, with the engine running, and Anthony J. Dzuricky, 28, in the front passenger seat.

After a brief time, the deputies were reportedly able to awaken the subjects and determine that they were not in need of medical assistance. The officers then observed the alleged paraphernalia in the vehicle.

The subjects were subsequently taken into custody.

A search warrant for the vehicle was obtained from County Court Judge David Foley at the Chautauqua County Court. Officers were then able to search the vehicle and seize the alleged quantity of narcotics, including the Molly, the paraphernalia and the currency.

As a result of the investigation, Griffin was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Dzuricky was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Both of the subjects were arraigned in Chautauqua Town Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail.
