One charged in Charlotte home raid

CHARLOTTE — A Sinclairville man has been arrested for allegedly selling sundry drugs.

On Wednesday around 10:20 a.m., the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force and the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team executed a search warrant at 6221 Route 60 in the town of Charlotte. The search warrant had been issued earlier by Charlotte Town Court, along with an arrest warrant charging Timothy J. Harrison, 55, with one count of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance.

The entry was made without incident and Harrison was taken into custody on the outstanding arrest warrant. He was then arraigned in Charlotte Town Court and sent to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail pending further action of the court.

As a result of the search, authorities seized 49.8 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, 172.1 grams of marijuana, scales and a large amount of U.S. currency.

As a result of the seizure, police said numerous additional felony charges will be placed against Harrison.

The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force comprises investigators from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Dunkirk Police Department.
