City man charged after meth bust
A 24-year-old Dunkirk man has been charged after the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team in a joint investigation with the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force seized more than a pound of methamphetamine worth an estimated $16,000.
Ryan R. Lopez Jr., was charged Monday with second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony.
This investigation was based in the city of Dunkirk. Lopez was arraigned in the city of Dunkirk Court and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.
Assisting agencies in this investigation were the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force, the city of Dunkirk Police Department and the New York State Police in Fredonia.
