Mary C. Harrington
Mary C. Harrington, 85, of Dunkirk died Tuesday evening (Nov. 22, 2016) at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dunkirk literally sur-rounded by her loving family.
She was born Dec. 1, 1930 in Fredonia, the daughter of the late Vincent and Florence (Begier) Kopliner.
A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Harrington was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Mary loved playing dice and cards with extended family and friends and usually won. She always looked forward to playing with her Tuesday bridge club.
Survivors include two sons, James (Sharon) Harrington of Fredonia and Patrick Harrington of Dunkirk; one daughter, Susan (Robert) Murray of Tonawanda; two sisters, Adeline (late Robert) Farnham of Bonita, CA and Beatrice (late Arthur) Lamb of Fredonia; six grandchildren, Jimmy (Samantha) Harrington, Jennifer Harrington, Andy (Shannon) Harrington, Theresa (Chris) Bones, Brian Murray, and Timmy Murray. Also survived by six great grandchildren, Abigail and Isabelle Bones, Kara and Kate Harrington, and James and Elle Harrington; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Harrington, who died Dec. 22, 2012; three sisters, Agatha (late Edwin) Case, Geraldine (late Joe) Prell, and Irene (late Anthony) Kozlowski; a brother, Vincent S. Kopliner; and two infant brothers.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held Monday from 47 p.m. at the McGrawKowal Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the Assumption Mausoleum of St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boys Town, 14100 Crawford St., Boys Town, Nebraska 68010.
