Rose May Kozlowski
Rose May Kozlowski, 57, of Florida and New York, passed away unexpectedly on January 30, 2017. She was born to the late Jack and Elizabeth Hudson in Punta Gorda, FL on September 30, 1959.
Rose was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a passion for traveling, motorcycles, and, above all, her family. Rose held various careers throughout her lifetime, including being a secretary, a dog breeder, and a conservationist. Out of all of her job titles, Rose was most proud to be a mom and cared so very deeply for her family, who in turn adored her.
She was an adventurous “biker chick” who loved thrift shopping, traveling, animals, the Civil War, exploring, and getting the most she could out of life and giving the most she could to her family, above all … her children. She was extremely strong willed, free spirited, and was always there to help and support anyone who needed it. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.
Rose was preceded in passing by her sister, Brenda Hudson; nephew, Sydney “Scooter” Ortel III; step-father, Jerome Miller; and step-brother, Jerry Miller.
She is survived by her children, Jeff Kozlowski II (29) (fiance Emma Beichner), David Kozlowski (27) and Siera Kozlowski (25) (fiance Tyler Schmitt); former spouse, Jeff Kozlowski; her fiance, Ron Battaglia; sisters, Linda and Jackie Hudson; “bestie,” Cindy Grisanti Howlett; step brother, Ricky Miller; many nieces and nephews and step-nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers or donations, Rose’s family requests on her behalf that all those interested attend a future memorial gathering at one of her favorite places, Alleghany State Park in NY. (Date in summertime to be determined).
