Lee “Butch” VanCise
DAYTON, NY — Lee “Butch” VanCise, 66, of Dayton, NY passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Buffalo General Hospital.
He was born July 11, 1950 in Otto, NY, the son of the late Doyle Sr. and June (Shore) VanCise.
On September 27, 1975 he married the former Ann Baum, who survives.
Mr. VanCise was a truck driver for many years driving for Wulf Trucking, Wright Trucking and Heil Trucking over his career. He was a member of the Slovenian Club and Sons of the American Legion in South Dayton, NY. He also was an avid outdoorsman.
Besides his loving wife of 41 years, he is survived by three sons, Lee VanCise Jr. of East Otto, NY, Scott VanCise of Gowanda, NY, and Jeremy VanCise of Dunkirk, NY; and six grandchildren, Skyla, RyLee, Qwynn, Keri, Cody and Jeffrery and one on the way. Also, three grandchildren Mya, Kolbi and Zoey and two on the way and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Doyle VanCise Jr. and a sister Elaine Kraengel.
Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main Street Gowanda, NY on Sunday May 21, 2017 from 1 p.m.- 4 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. from the funeral home.
