Helen P. Brinkman
Helen P. “Gram” Brinkman, 97, of Dunkirk, passed away on September 12, 2017.
Helen was born Oct. 13, 1919, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lola Brocksopp.
A lifetime area resident, she was a member of St. John’s united church of Christ.
She along with her husband, Walter, built, owned and operated “Brinkman’s Mobile Village” on East Lake Road in Dunkirk.
Helen enjoyed gardening, needle craft, Skip Bo, Yahtzee, church activities, and friends but most of all, her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Diana (Lee) Turk and Carol (William) Robinson, grandchildren, Barbara (Thomas) Calderon, Judy (Allan) Sprague, Michael (Donna) Turk, Randall (Denise) Feinen, Deborah Feinen, Shelly (Greg) James, great grandchildren, Aaron Gajewski, Steven Gajewski, Stacey Potter, Kimberly Sprague, Brandon Feinen, Miranda Gill, Brianna Whittington, Ryder James, six great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Mary Brocksopp.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Walter Brinkman, sisters, Doris Schrader, Fern Weishaupt, and Alice Kuehn, brothers, Robert Brocksopp and John (Jack) Brocksopp.
Calling hours are Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave. Dunkirk. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Graveside service will be in Willowbrook Cemetery.
