Jerry Henderson

PERRYSBURG — Jerry Henderson of Town Line Road, passed away peacefully at the Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo surrounded by family on Monday, September 18, 2017. Jerry was 78 years old.

Born July 1, 1939 in Roulette, Pa., he was the twin son of William and Lillian (Stone) Henderson.

Jerry married the former Margaret “Toni” (Patterson) on October 5, 1957 in Pa. Toni passed away on their 51st wedding anniversary, October 5, 2008.

Jerry held various jobs in the area, including The former Peter Cooper Corps, the former Moench Tanning, Windsmith in Springville, the former Gowanda Psychiatric Center and the Town of Persia Highway Department. Jerry was also owner operator of the former Henderson Towing. He ran the towing business for several years.

Survivors include his children, Jerry Jr. (Crystal) Henderson of South Dayton, Brian “Fred” (Becky) Henderson of Perrysburg, Holly Mansfield of Cattaraugus, Eula (Rick) Morton of Little Valley and Billie (David) Beck of North Collins. Fourteen grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews also survive.

Besides his parents and wife, Jerry was preceded in death by his brothers and sisters, Kathleen Kio, Leo Henderson, Leonard Henderson, twin brother Gary Henderson, Thomas Henderson and Lorraine Rees.

Friends may call at the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St., Gowanda, NY on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 10 a.m. to noon, his service will commence Sunday at noon, following calling hours.

Memorials may be made to a local charity of one’s choice.
