David J. Burgun
David J. Burgun, age 64, of Brocton, N.Y., died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017 at the Gowanda Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
David was born in Dunkirk on March 1, 1953 to the late William and Louise Rosso Burgun. David graduated from Fredonia High School in 1971. He was part owner, with his father William, of Burgun Grape Harvesting for 14 years. After that, he worked several jobs until he finally found his career working for the the United States Postal Service. He retired from delivering rural mail in 2016. Some of his early interests in life were camping, hunting, motor cycling and bowling. Later in life, he enjoyed cooking, golf and traveling with family.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Deborah Palmer Burgun; his son Kenneth (Katherine) Burgun of Nashville, Tennessee and his daughter, Karen (Anders) Brown, also of Nashville, Tennessee; grandchildren: Korah Burgun, and William and Cooper Brown; three sisters: Darlene (A. Daniel) Frank, Debra (Steven) Pacheco and Cynthia (Robert) Griewisch. David is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calls may be made Wednesday, 58 p.m. at LARSONTIMKO Funeral Home, 20 Central Avenue, Fredonia, New York., where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. Memorials in David’s memory may be made may be made to Visiting Nurses Association of W.N.Y. (www.vnawny.org).
