Virginia V. O’Brocta

Virginia Vera “Ginger” (Rohr) O’Brocta, 79, of Willow Road, Dunkirk died peacefully Sunday morning (Dec. 3, 2017) surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. Her loyal and loving dog “Fenway” was also by

her side.

She was born June 7, 1938 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late W. Howard and Veronica (Wyszynski) Rohr.

A lifelong resident of Dunkirk, Ginger was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1957. She was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and a devoted wife and


Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Frank J. O’Brocta Jr.; one son, Frank J. (Lynn) O’Brocta III of Dunkirk; one

daughter, Christine (O’Brocta) Olrogg of Dunkirk; two granddaughters, Justina Rose (Kyle Huddleston) O’Brocta and Samantha Mary Olrogg; one great grandson, Keith Max Huddleston; one sister, Phyllis Schrantz of Fredonia; her aunt, Betty (Rohr) Zaffalon; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She also was Godmother to three loving Goddaughters, Deborah Ann (Schrantz) Freid, Cynthia Ann (Majecki) Cody, and Morgan Elizabeth Schrantz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated Thursday morning at 10 o’clock in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the McGraw-

Kowal Funeral Home. En-tombment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum of St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Chautauqua Hospice & Palliative Care, 20 W. Fairmount Avenue, Lakewood, NY 14750.
