David M. White
David M. White, 71, of Dunkirk, NY, died of a lengthy illness on January 29, 2018 surrounded by his family.
David was born on December 10, 1946 in Irving, NY, to the late Evelyn and Maxwell White. A lifelong resident of the WNY area, he was known and loved by many. He enjoyed his outings for coffee and loved his family very much. David was a former employee of City Cab, where he worked for many years.
He is survived by his six children, Sharon (Dan) Spencer of FL., Deborah (Stephon) McCord, Dawn White, David (Jesenia) White, Jeffrey (Amber) White, and Robert (Shannon) White and a special friend Rudolph Thomas, all residents of Dunkirk. Also survived by sisters; Patricia (David) Maringer, Charlotte and brother, Roy White.
He left behind 19 grandchildren, Kristen, Daniel and Courtney Spencer, Jennifer (Jay) Ramos, Amanda Reyes, Ashley (Nicholas) Morales, Samantha Reyes, Monica (Giovanni) Pena, Samantha Stokes, Lucas Smyczek, Cassandra and Brittney White, Sabrina (Andrew) Fredric, Jessica, Alisha and Christina White, Cherish DeJesus, Tyler and Tina White, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Robert A. White Jr., stepfather, John G. Conway and paternal grandmother Martha Wooley.
Friends and family can pay their respects at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, Thursday from 68 p.m. or at a Memorial of Life Service at The First United Methodist Church in Dunkirk, Friday 11 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined.
