Christine Stillions Korwin (Korzeniewski), age 96, of Palm Coast, Florida, formerly of Fredonia, New York for 50 years, passed away peacefully on September 13, 2018.Born August 3, 1922, in Anderson, Missouri, she is preceded in death by her parents Ervin and Myrtle Stillions; four brothers, two sisters and daughter-in-law, Patti Korwin. Her husband of 59 years, Stanley Korwin, died in 2001.Her grace, generosity, energy, love, compassion and support will be greatly missed by her daughter, Diane (Gregory) Ludwig of Palm Coast, Fl., son, James S. Korwin of Sedgwick, Kansas, five adoring Grandchildren and eight precious Great- Grandchildren. Christine is also survived by several nieces and nephews.Christine graduated from Pineville High School and earned a degree from Draughon Business College. During WWII, Christine worked at Camp Crowder in Missouri in the office of the project engineer. Upon completion of the camp, she was transferred to the Army

Medical Corps as secretary to Dr. Windmiller. She continued on to the Marine Corps Headquarters in Washington, D.C., Department of Defense, as office manager. In Fredonia, she was a secretary at Fredonia State College, teacher’s aide for the Fredonia Schools and secretary for a lawyer.Christine loved to travel, play bridge, do crosswords and just be with friends and family. Before moving to Florida, she volunteered for many organizations, delivered meals on wheels, and was a member of the St. Joseph Altar & Rosary Society.A private service will be held at the LARSON- TIM-KO Funeral Home followed by interment at Forest Hill Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’S Association, Central & North Florida chapter.
