Ernest R. Frost
Ernest R. Frost, 93, of Suwanee, GA formerly of Stockton, NY, died Saturday, September 1, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Musette (Cobb) Frost, sons, Donald (Patricia) Frost of Suwanee, GA and Dan (Eileen) Frost of Celeron, NY. Four grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Mr. Frost was born March 27, 1925 in Elko, New York. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served with the 3rd Division 7th Army European Theater World War II. He was in combat in Italy, France and Germany. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge, The Valley of Purple Hearts. He was used primarily as a scout and a sniper. He received numerous awards and citations due to being wounded in combat. He received The Bronze Star, Purple Heart with Cluster, French Croix de Guerre with palm, Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Army Campaign Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle East Medal WW II, Victory Medal WW II.Combat Infantry Badge and Fourrageres. After he moved to Georgia, he was a Supervisor at McCormick where he re-tired.Interment will be October 20, 2018 at 1pm located at Greenwood Cemetery, Stockton, NY.
