Gowanda — Mar Pearl Nixon, age 53, passed away on Feb 5, 2019 at ECMC in Buffalo surrounded by her family. Mary resided at Lower Edgar group in Little Valley, NY and attended LVDH where she was cared for by her loving staff from WNYDDSO. Mary was also cared for by her sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and John Hackemer in their home in WNY for many years. Mary is survived by her loving family. She was the beloved
daughter of Agnes (Laettner) and the late Austin Nixon. She was the youngest of 10 children. Mary is survived by four brothers; David (Jan) of FL, Mike (Cathy) of GA, Pat (Harriet) of NY, Tim (Megan) of MI, and three sisters; Debbie (Rich) Gambino of FL, Janet (late Richard) Downey of NY, Nancy (John) Hackemer of FL. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her father Austin Nixon and two brothers, Tom and Frances, brother-in-law, Richard Downey and her nephews, Jason, Christian, and James. A private memorial service will be held with her family at a later date. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials can be sent to Love INC, 15 W. Main St. in Gowanda, NY.
