‘Yes’ means state changes

Editor, OBSERVER:

A “yes” vote for the New York State Constitution is a must. A needed change in Albany will result. Among some of the advocates: Former adviser to Gov. Mario Cuomo, William A. Samuels; state Bar Association; the League of Women Voters and Citizens United.

Some donors include activists of both major political parties, Canisius College political science – Professor Emeritus Peter J. Galie; former Lt. Gov. Stanley N. Lundine, also past Appellate Court Judge Victoria A. Graffeo. The amendment – must be retroactive – to include all convicted lawmakers from receiving pensions: living members – retired and those future ones.

Big hearts

in tall benefit

Editor, OBSERVER:

The No Tree To Tall Benefit held for Shayn Grisanti on Oct. 7 was a great success! Shayn Grisanti and his family would like to take this time to thank everyone in the Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties, area businesses, community members and friends for their show of support, donations and well wishes. We are eternally grateful and it is so heartwarming to see our communities come together in a time of need. There are no words to describe how much it means to us.

With all the prayers that have been sent daily, he is continually making progress. Again thank you all and God bless!

FAMILY OF SHAYN GRISANTI,
