Faith, friendships: Advice for the better
Thanks to everyone for the kind thoughts. It has been a very special birthday week because of all of you.
I’d like to share some words of wisdom that are my thoughts as well:
Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.
Don’t waste all your energy moaning about the problem. Look for solutions.
Faith gives you the courage to conquer fear.
We should be building bridges, not barriers.
We are on the wrong diets. Instead of trying to get smaller physically, we should be trying to get bigger physically.
Love should be given freely. You can’t force it; you can’t demand it.
Respect has to be earned. You can’t demand it.
If you love someone, tell them today. Tomorrow may never come.
At the end of your life, your head will remind you about all the things you have done. Your heart will remind you of the things you should have done and didn’t and you will have regrets.
It’s better to be a failure than a coward.
Life is an ongoing learning experience, so don’t feel bad if you don’t know it all today because you won’t know it all tomorrow either.
You can’t fight old age, but you can embrace life.
It takes two to tangle, but it only takes one to make peace.
The worst insult you can give a person is to ignore them. Conversely, the greatest compliment is imitation.
Try this on someone who doesn’t like you. Say to the person, “I’m not going to deny myself the pleasure of liking you even though you don’t like me.”
Make friends with your new neighbors before a situation arises that will make you new enemies.
