ISIS has

to be target

Editor, OBSERVER:

The solution for putting an end to ISIS lies in our willingness to hunt them down like the animals they are, and get down in the gutter to unleash hell on each and every one of them.

Forget about political correctness, forget about taking half-measures in responding to their threats, and forget especially about offending the Muslim religion.

Now is the time to accelerate our efforts to ensure there are no more tragedies like Manchester or London. If we can’t form a “coalition of the willing” to finally remove them from the face of the earth, we must go it alone. And make no mistake, there should be no “rules of engagement” as we pursue them. How much longer are we going to wimp out as we attend one memorial service after another?

Our only consolation is knowing the hottest places in hell are reserved for assassins such as these. Either we take the harsh but necessary steps today, or we continue to watch the carnage unfold. Which is it going to be?

VFW proud

of poppies

Editor, OBSERVER:

The Sheridan Memorial Post 6390 Veterans of Foreign Wars gratefully thanks Walmart for giving us permission to sell poppies on their property.

We would also like to thank the many people who bought our poppies.

I would like to give a special thanks to Dennis, Jackie, Dolly, Ray, Dave, Randy, Brian, Brenda and Kathy for their help. Also, to the many people who offered me cool drinks on this very hot afternoon.

RICHARD BURLETT,
