The Fredonia Village Board is offering a $250 reward for the return of a cupid figurine stolen from the fountain in East Barker Common about three weeks ago. Fredonia Mayor Frank Pagano said the figurine was discovered missing by Robert Booth, who headed the recent fountain reconstruction project on both sides of downtown Fredonia’s twin parks. The effort to restore both fountains began after previous problems with vandalism. The trustees agreed to offer an amnesty period to anyone who returns the gold-leafed figurine. Mr. Booth has offered to install the figurine if it is recovered, while noting that the cost of a replacement figurine is prohibitive.
