The Dunkirk Zoning Board of Appeals has approved an expansion at Brooks Memorial Hospital which is part of a $6 million improvement project. An addition will be built on the Eagle Street side of its building. The addition will be two stories high and will cover an area about 25 feet wide which is currently used as physician parking. There will be a loss of two parking spaces as a result. The new addition will house the hospital’s boilers and chillers. The hospital is also planning a renovation of the emergency room entrance area as well.
