President and CEO David Mancuso has announced plans for the opening of a new Lake Shore Savings branch office in Westfield. Lake Shore Savings currently has about 500 mortgage customers and another 500 depositors in the Westfield area. The new branch will be located at 106 East Main St. in the village and will offer off-street parking. Currently, there are no plans for a drive-up window or ATM. However, the situation will be re-evaluated following the first year of business. Opening of the new branch is scheduled for Dec. 7, 1998.

The hotel developer, Wilmorite Inc. of Rochester, still hopes to have the facility open by next year’s tourist season.

Mr. McQuiggan described the road as a narrow, county road with no center or side lines. The town has been after the county to paint the appropriate lines on it since June, but without success.
