Some insight into judge race
Voters may get a clearer picture of the race for Dunkirk city court judge tonight. In an event sponsored by the Chautauqua County League of Women Voters, the five candidates seeking the position are expected to be in attendance tonight.
James Scott Dimmer, John M. Kuzdale, Joseph Price, Rachel Roberts and Ron Szot will answer questions from the audience as well as offer an introduction and closing statement as is the standard practice of League-sponsored question-and-answer session.
The Tuesday primary will likely set the tone for November’s election, since there is a race for every line: Democrat, Republican, Conservative, Independence, Women’s Equality and Working Families.
Of course, the winner has big shoes to fill. Judge Walter Drag has done superb work while on the bench in the city.
Tonight’s event begins at 7 in the Dunkirk City Hall courtroom.
