State budget crisis hits the glue

September 30, 2009 - John D'Agostino

BREAKING NEWS >> New York state budget deficit continues to grow ... so much so that the state Department of Motor Vehicles has reduced the glue it is using for the registration stickers.

Has anyone else noticed the hassle with the 2011 editions. Here I am ... a good state resident who pays taxes and fees on time ... and now I am being asked to use tape to get my registration sticker on my vehicles.

What gives?

Every two years, I can clean my windshield and add my new registration sticker with pride. This year, the result is more than sloppy. It is a disgrace.

So much for the old saying on this issue. When it comes to New York, maybe the state does not always stick it to the residents -- and motorists.
