| | Great skateFebruary 8, 2010 - John D'AgostinoIt was the perfect day for a skate — on an outdoor rink in Westfield. On the afternoon before the Super Bowl, some youngsters and a couple adults took advantage of the Welch Park ice rink in the village. Located on Elm Street, the venue was great. Pond hockey goals were part of the set-up and the ice — though not perfect — is good enough to play a game.
Outdoor neighborhood ice rinks are popular in this time of year. There are some in Fredonia and a number of others across the county. After an hour of outdoor action, the kids and adults who participated had a great workout. As for myself, I was very cold as a spectator. Article CommentsNo comments posted for this article.
