Is it summer yet?
June 19, 2008 - John D'Agostino
Western New York's weather can be frustrating at times. Today, the temperature barely hit 65 degrees. For two weeks at the beginning of the month, temperatures seemed to top 90 every day.
Where is the middle ground?
On Saturday, summer -- and our official festival season -- is under way. By that time, temperatures are likely to be more cooperative, rising to the mid 70s. But our summers are just so short.
We may complain about the high 80s and low 90s, but this is it. We don't -- and won't -- get those after the first two weeks of the summer.
Bring it on ... just bring the tanning lotion as well. Over the last four months, our time outside has been limited. Some of us, myself included, burn easy.
