| | Cross countryMay 18, 2011 - John D'AgostinoFredonia Rotarian Don Lang has nearly reached the finish line. On March 29, Lang began a trek on bicycle across the country in San Diego. He expects to reach Chautauqua County on Sunday. His ride is being done to raise money for Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo. Here are his remarks he sent to area Rotarians on Tuesday: "Hello Friends, "I've decided to take a day for some much needed "R & R." So, with the gracious consent of my hosts, Craig and Libby Dixon (yes, I told them that was my wife's maiden name), I'm staying in Bowling Green today. The weather and wind continue to make biking totally miserable, so I'll ride up to Sandusky/Huron (today), on to Euclid on Thursday, to Ashtabula on Friday, into Erie on Saturday, and HOME on Sunday! That is the plan and I think it's easily doable, with even a little cooperation from the weather. And, I'll be riding with an extra day's rest, so it should all be good. I'm looking forward to seeing all of you again soon. "Best wishes, "Don" Click on the right for a link to April Diodato’s article announcing Lang’s bike trip last March.
