The nation has spoken, and the people want bad Beyonce covers and teen heartthrobs over arguably superior vocal talent. The top eight on "The Voice" are Amanda Brown, Nicholas David, Cassadee Pope, Melanie Martinez, Cody Belew, Trevin Hunte, Dez Duron and Terry McDermott. Bryan Keith and Sylvia Yacoub didn't make the cut. I don't envy whoever has to sing first next week -- judging by the elimination of Michaela Paige and Yacoub, odds are, they won't continue on!

It seems that each week so far, one good choice and one bad choice is made. Don't forget to vote! Sales on iTunes is an important factor as well, but since we, as a nation, are poor, I'm not going to tell you to buy anything unnecessary, especially with the holidays around the corner. Christmas is basically canceled in my house this year. I should take a page out of my sister's book and learn the art of crocheting from our grandmother so that I can craft some low-cost gifts instead. Poorly-knit finger-warmers for everyone!
