| | Audit amnesiaNovember 29, 2012 - John D'AgostinoThat audit recently done by the state comptroller questioning the $1 million of spending in the city was a big deal two to three years ago, Dunkirk. Many residents here seem to forget most of the issues touched on in the report — including more than $700,000 in land purchases — were covered by this newspaper when they took place from 2009 to 2010. It's just very convenient for the current administration — and Democrats and other then-disinterested residents — to say only now how shocked they are over these developments that happened right in front of their eyes.
