At the hearing: Young's remarks
July 17, 2013 - John D'Agostino
State Sen. Catharine Young was brilliant.
In her remarks on Monday evening during the Public Service Commission hearing, Young spoke with emotion and from the heart when talking about the uncertain future of the NRG Energy Inc. facility in Dunkirk. As part of her presentation, she relied on audience response and laid out a number of questions for the commission to consider in its decision on whether to repower the NRG plant or to go with the transmission upgrades for National Grid.
The link at right provides a portion of Young’s speech, which includes — at the beginning — tremendous applause for the NRG proposal.
The second link is her full testimony.
