A great showing
June 24, 2014 - John D'Agostino
Last Saturday, about 3,000 residents made their way to Memorial Park in Dunkirk.
They came for the numerous displays, the food — and most importantly — Lake Erie. Since October, a group of area business and community leaders met on a monthly basis planning for the Great Lakes Experience and the Festival in Dunkirk. It was well worth the effort.
Last year’s first event had about 1,000 visitors. This year, that number tripled. Exhibitors also increased. There were more than 40 displays at the event.
It was a perfect day to celebrate the city and the lake.
