Giant visit: An artist’s plans

July 11, 2014 - John D'Agostino
Peter Wolf Toth is proud to be back in Dunkirk.

The artist who created the Whispering Giant, and is currently working on restoring it, was welcomed back with a ceremony at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in the city during a reception on Thursday afternoon. Gina Kron, who operates the Tim Hortons locations in Dunkirk and Fredonia, spearheaded the efforts to get Toth here to do the work.

Toth told those in attendance about his plans for the statue.
