While I support selling the County Home I have to ask, shouldn't there have been a vote on the legislature's intent to sell the home before spending a bunch of time negotiating an agreement to sell?

The CCH is a valuable asset, by any stretch, and selling it is a great disservice to the community. Using the county's own figures, operating expenses must be cut by $4M/yr just to break even. Don't forget, the new owner must now pay property taxes, a hefty amt if the home sells for over $16M.

I can only imagine the level of care & services this facility will be reduced to JUST TO BREAK EVEN.

To those of you who support this sale, you all deserve each other. I can only hope that many of you end up there someday.

The new owner will not cut any services. This lie has circulated since day one. The new owner will make money by offering services that the CCH is not allowed by law to offer such as assisted living, independant living, adult day care etc.

What a wonderful person you are, why don't you go chat with Stiener as it seems you two deserve each other.
