It amazes me that people get elected to do a job, which always should be and is typically about making the village better, run smoother, create opportunities, and then get sidetracked with their personal agendas and petty likes and dislikes. Do what is right for the village and it's residents, the community, and then you will be a better person.

No the hot dog man didn't start this or anything else. No Barbara didn't stop running it because she didn't get her way. The problem in Fredonia is nothing more than personality conflicts which makes us look like little children. People's petty issues of who they don't like what they don't like being said, how people say things they will consider said wrong. Politics, immaturity, small minds. I have been to a board meeting and I find it a very unenthusiastic, uncreative, stale, unimaginative experience. Anytime Fredonia votes in a trustee who wants to change things for the better they become alienated and frustrated and stop participating in politics. Shame. Change is always good and that is why Fredonia is stagnant. It won't change.

I do think the "hot dog" man started all the commotion. As for Barbara I think she quit because she didn't get her way. As for the running of the market I think the farmers should run the market. If they don't succeed then someone else can take over.

I agree with Mindy and the other farmers who come each week to the market to sell their goods.

I go the farmer's market almost every Saturday, year round. They are a group of hard working, local farmers who are committed to providing local food goods to the community.

They are also very intelligent business people. I have seen them run a winter's market on their own...very successfully. Since the time when they started in the wishberry to their current location on Main Street.

Why would the Village not listen to them as to who they want to coordinate the market? Who could know more what needs to be done to continue to success of this market?

I have signed the petition asking for the Festival group to run the market. This is a petition started by the farmers and it is their wish that this group be given the job of coordinating the market.

Let the farmer's choose who THEY WANT. Trust them..they know what they are doing
